And so, finding my word is so easy this year. No struggling with thesauruses or sneaky hiding for this word. It was waiting patiently for me, biding its time for me get going and gather up what I needed.
Grow
I have plans this year. Ideas. Goals. I've come a long way. Amazingly, this blog has gotten more than 20,000 hits! I'm comfortable calling myself an artist and I have plans for how to grow as an entrepreneur. I've planted the seeds, and now I must nurture myself as I continue nurture my family and community.
I want to grow my artistic discipline as well. The sketch above is from a new sketchbook, in which I intend to focus on completed works of art rather than my usual experimentation. I will still use my regular sketchbook to explore new drawing techniques and skills, but I want to use this sketchbook to focus on themes I love and favorite quotes. A treasure book.
I'm finding that my meditation practice is combining with my drawing practice, which pleases me. I have a hard time finding time for everything I love to do and everything I need to do, so combining these seems like a great idea to me! I hope to blog about combining my spirituality and my art more in the coming months.
And before I go, I want to thank all of you who read my ramblings and enjoy my art. It means a lot to me to know you're out there.
