Art every Day Month

I've been a little busy this first week of Art Every Day Month, so I thought I'd try and catch up a little by doing two journal pages today. I'm really enjoying how much I'm learning from the process of trying to make these pages. Honestly, I've been pretty dissatisfied with how all of them but the last has come out, but I feel like I'm learning so much about my own style, as well as what kinds of art supplies I need! I am absolutely yearning for some good illustration pens, since most of what I'm drawing is in pencil, sharpie, or ball point pen, and all of them have serious limitations. I picked up some little stamp pads for a dollar each, so fun, I really am enjoying using the stamps I carved to make images.

  4. Oooh, both of these are very pretty. Sharpie's use to be a staple of mine, they got slowly phased out, but I still love them. I love how you hand carved your own stamps and used them, very cool. Oh, and I really like the paper you used, I think it really adds something special.

  5. I had to laugh, we bought my daughters the nice expensive illustration pens they said they wanted, yet I keep finding all my sharpies have migrated to their supplies. They decided they prefer the sharpies.
I love the hand carved stamps. I may have to try that myself.

  6. I think your pages look great. So often I don't work on a project because I don't have the "right" supplies, but using the "wrong" ones can be a good learning experience, I guess.

    Thanks for sharing!
