Firebird for CED

For the last week of August I wanted to share a sketch I did of a firebird. It's that liminal time before fall starts, but all of the plants look so tired. They all have a bit of a grey brown tinge, everyone is waiting for the cool fall breezes to come. It reminds me of the phoenix regenerating from the ashes. I imagined my firebird getting ready her nest for herself, so that she would have a safe spot when she hatched. I'm certainly ready for fall to hatch.

  1. It is beautiful :-)

I have no idea what kind of music you like but I want to share a wild and passionate song with you that I've been in love with lately called Firebird's Child:

  2. I love SJ Tucker! I've been talking myself into buying her blessings album for a while. I posted a while back about her song in the name of dance!

  3. neato! In the name of the dance is one of my favoruites of hers too! Your description of it being able to make you move when you feel like a sloth was so perfect ☺ I also love Hymn To Herne... I like the live version best.

If you like SJ Tucker, I wonder if you'd like Wendy Rule... have you heard her at all? some of my faves are Pan, The Raven Song, Circle Song, Hecate and Innana. Not as wild as SJ's stuff but to me it has a similar passion and flavour.

I love finding new music I like so if you have any suggestions, I'd love to read them! :-)
