Something magical.
What food might a fairy eat you wonder? Well, fallen apples and flowers of course! As you can see, even a toad stopped by and partook of our hospitality. Fairy houses have become all the rage around here, popping up all over my garden beds now that we're home again. Quite satisfactory if you ask me. :)
We found fairies! And then we built them houses.
Fairies need houses made of bark, with brooms and food
and little beds made of white pine needles.
There was much delight and giggles and hard work involved in our houses.
We know the fairies appreciated it.
Lovely! I would love to make one sometime.
ReplyDeleteWell I must say... that's the finest fairy house I've ever seen. I'm sure the fairies were delighted!
ReplyDeleteI used to build fairy houses and fairy rings with my daughter when she was little, she's 23 now.
This will be a very sweet memory for all of you:)
This is fabulous! What fun!
ReplyDeletewonderful, magical, awesome!
ReplyDeletethat really is such a cool fairy house.
I don't have kids but I think I need to make some fairy houses in my yard for the 'kid' inside me!
Lovely images:) Thank you for sharing...what a delight!
ReplyDeleteOh Yeah! I remember building fairy houses when I was a young girl. Thanks for sharing that with your girls too. After the new porch roof is built I think the fairys will be lookig for a place to stay closer to the house so I'll just have to get building a little house! Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI love to see children playing outdoors with their own imaginations! ...as opposed to, you know, children indoors staring at handheld electronic devices. The fairy houses are lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh, and your aprons... also wonderful :-)
How fun! I love the fairy home! What a magical way to spend the day!
ReplyDeleteThat may be the cutest & sweetest creation I've seen in a long while. I love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a magnificent fairy house! We also have fairies, and they have their own doorways into an old evergreen oak. But your fairy house is much grander and infinitely more magical!
ReplyDeleteJanice.
