Aprons, Gifts and new Linocut Prints!

Here's a couple of new prints I just finished photographing, I will be posting them on my Etsy shop this weekend.

Also here's a shot of my friend Desiree with her brand spankin' new birthday present on. I though her shirt was perfect for the apron. Yay!
And here's the gluten free cake I made for her too!

  3. Aww... such a sweet friend you are!
I wish someone would make me a gluten free cake on my birthday... If I want one, I have to bake it myself... not fun!

  4. oh wow! those prints are awesome!
I second Anet's comment. I can't even remember when someone made me a cake. I make my own if I want one.
    was it from a recipe?

  5. The cake is chocolate using rice and tapioca flours. I'll post the recipe later! If you're ever in Lansing MI, drop me a line and I'll whip you up a cake too! The best part about making a cake for someone else is that I get to have a slice too :)

  6. thank you! I look forward to the recipe!
so many of the GF recipes out there now have a huge assortment of flours that I don't use but I do use those 2.
If you can eat eggs, I can send you a few awesome GF recipes if you like - cake and banana bread. sadly they don't work egg free.
they are also sugar free (sweetened with stevia but don't let that scare you - even 'normal' people like them :)

  7. Your prints are lovely. I will be heading over to check out your Etsy shop the moment I finish this comment! I have a question for you, though. I'm wondering what your situation is with a press. What kind of press do you have, where did you find it, and how do you find room for it? Knowing you have a family, I imagine you have even less room than me (I'm living in an apartment, having just graduated college). And it seems impossible to find a press that's reasonably affordable. I would love to hear how you handled the challenge!

  8. Right now I don't have a press, I'm using a buren. It's not the greatest answer. Right now I don't really have room for a press anyway. I've been pondering making one with a hydraulic car jack and some scrap wood.
